KUOPIO RISK ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP 2008 - INVITATION

The National Public Health Institute (KTL) is organizing the, already traditional, 2nd workshop on risk assessment in Kuopio, Finland 18-22 February. The workshop has been started based on the needs of several EU-funded research projects, notably Intarese, Beneris and Heimtsa.

It is mainly directed to doctoral students working in the fields of environmental health or risk assessment, but is also open to anyone interested. The number of participants may have to be limited due to practical reasons. In case we need to restrict participation, people from the projects mentioned above and the ones who have registered early will have an advantage. The workshop program will consist of lectures on Open Risk Assessment, group-work on a practical case study applying the Open Risk Assessment methods, and naturally also social programme, including e.g. winter sports.
