Course description: This is an introductory course on risk communication and management.

Main aim is to give the participant basic understanding of the key concepts and how to implement them into practice. Topics include: Risk perception. The News Media and Risk. The Issues of Trust and Affect. The Principles of Risk Management. Communicating Risk. The course combines theory, tools, case studies including practical learning exercises
