The course content
The course covers concepts for more effective risk communication and, since risk communication and risk management are so intertwined, concepts of risk management are discussed.
Requirements and grading
Intensive course includes 16 h lectures and 6 h seminars. As a preliminary assignment students prepare a presentation based on a scientific article. Successful completion of the seminar presentation, participation on the seminar discussions as well as a presence at the lectures is required to pass the course. There is no exam and the course is graded passed/failed.
Online learning environment
Course material is shared in Moodle learning environment. Participants can access the site with their home university intra user name and password. Participants that are not students of Finnish universities can order passwords from Maarit Särkilahti (maarit.sarkilahti@tut.fi).
